I attempted to take it back. The repair shop said that both ball joints were shot and just a matter of time before the other side went. So bad to the point that the only thing keeping them from falling off the vehicle is the rust and corrosion they cause to the chassis. After the abuse on the trails, I can drive home on the interstate at 90 mph comfortably, but after a few hours my butt will get sore. Now it's worth less than our 2001 saturn ls which is 6 years older and cost way less when we bought it. This company is not yet accredited. I'm sure drink bottles are made from better materials.
I couldn't find anything, but the truck did start to drive again; a little ways down the road, it started again. Original review: March 28, 2015 When I tried starting my 1995 Blazer it wouldn't start. The dealer would do it in 1. So it had been well cared for and maintained. I replace speedometer, electrical panel, water pump, crank censor, 02 censors and it just cut off on me going down the interstate. I do not have that type of money.
I am restarting my life. Don't Know Review Date: 9th February, 2004 Thank you for your Chevy Blazer review. For the price, it's a heck of a value!! I've towed a 3,500 lb boat hundreds of miles and other trailers numerous times with no issues. His vehicle was purchased at the end of last year and currently has over 18k miles on it. General Comments: It is generally a nice looking vehicle, but it has many problems. It is light years behind the newer offerings out there.
We took good care of it and did our own repairs whenever possible. The repair ended up including the compressor, belt, tensioner, idler pulley and fan clutch. Fun little truck, and I'm almost seventy. Two months later, I was down in Tennessee visiting family and my engine blew by the oil cap busting off and oil flying out of the engine. On Christmas eve 2010 without warning at 10:pm on the way home, my Blazer stopped! The truck has 115k miles. General Comments: It's so hard on gas I average 12.
I also have a witness statement saying he knew the problems when he sold it to me because this person and her boyfriend test drove it, and she is my coworker. I did not get to test drive my blazer because the dealer was closing and I originally went in to test the 2003 Tracker. There have been a lot of reports about the same transmission in a lot of them. Factory front shocks are too short!!! It was a leftover 2003 model that was a 5 speed, and the dealer couldn't move it. The belt tensioner was one of the clinking noises under the hood and the belt was frayed. Don't Know Review Date: 24th November, 2008 Faults: Not long after we purchased this vehicle, the brakes began to squeal. As Soon I Put Some Wheels On It And Fix The Rust Spot It Will Be A Very Sharp Looking Sports Suv! I feel like Im at Oreilly's and under the truck more than I get to drive it.
May replace tires just because of age, tread has between 7-10,000 miles left. Starting at 30,000 miles experienced manufacturer defaults, transmission failure at 50,00 miles. Instead it sucks its power from the interior lights, no interior lights means no 4x4. Wires rot all the time, and there are a lot of them. Now I have to replace the unit on my own and by topping it off every time at the gas station it is going to destroy the emission system especially the charcoal canister unit. Always look for snow in which to play, small size and 4x4 makes winter fun. Oil cooler leaked and failed once already! In addition to the other electrical failure issues, one by one the odometer, gas gauge, temp, etc.
Remote oil filter assemblies always crack and split. In the recent year, my wife and I were driving on the road and the vehicle seemed to stall while driving through an intersection during rush-hour traffic. Faults: The ball joints fail on a regular basis!!! Was skeptical about buying a used vehicle but the more I drive my balzer the more I love it it is so easy to drive and visibility is excellent. I told him what I could afford on monthly payments and what I wanted to put down on a down payment. I too, am afraid after reading other reviews that something will go wrong with my 2004 Blazer.
I guess mine isn't a lemon. Nothing wrong with it so far. I am looking to replace the fuel pump, crank censor, cam censor, plugs and thermal stat. Starting burning oil at 80,000 miles. I skidded off the road to the shoulder.
