This movie moved well and I thought it was very funny. Not often will you go in watching a film without expectations and coming out very pleased. The plot started to get a little stale towards the end, and I think some of it could have been left out, but it moved along quickly enough that I wasn't bored, and ultimately it didn't detract enough from the film to make an impact on my overall opinion of it. Will ist bereit ihr zu helfen und den Körper zu verstecken, wenn sie ihm bei der Flucht vor der Polizei hilft. Missi is a wonderful presence on screen whenever she is cast.
Die Dinge nehmen ihren Lauf und er flüchtet zu einer abgelegenen Farm um sich in der Scheune zu verstecken. Now, if they were real cops and had to do a real crime scene investigation, the story simply wouldn't exist. The task of disposal turns into a kidnapping nightmare and, as the two try to navigate the turn of events, they find they must make some hard choices to keep from losing it all. But I liked that; I thought the performances fit with the tonality of the film. Description Will, an escaped convict, inadvertently takes refuge in a barn the same night the owners, April and Martin, get into a terrible fight. . The detective that was with him, also down played his character, but they pulled it off.
This could have been a good black comedy but the music keeps stepping on it. Great title for the movie. He's trying too hard and not quite getting the comedy right. A gun shot goes off inside the house. I just actually cared what happened to them, while of course laughing at their ridiculous predicaments. Just the right amount of dark humor and stupidity to get a good comedy mix.
A gun shot goes off inside the house. Incredible scenery too, I don't recall any other movie shot in a place like that. He convinces her that he is not there to harm her but has witnessed the murder so they must cooperate or both go to prison. The complications do not stop as the cops try to figure exactly what's going on. The movie is hilarious, the scenery amazingly picturesque, and the background music helps add to the fun.
The movie was written and directed very well. I'm just not that impressed with Jim Kouf's writing or directing. I was barely three minutes into watching this film, when I said to myself, why haven't I ever heard of this movie? The actors appear to have a lot of fun making this, and every performance is strong. His redneck rage is augmented by a loud comic percussive soundtrack that blasts forth every time he bursts into vengeful action. It was a really refreshing change from all the sex and fart jokes most movies have which can totally be funny, but let's face it, are way over done and over-relied upon at this point. I watched it on Netflix and honestly was not expecting much, but wound up being very pleasantly surprised. No big special effects eating away at the budget.
I would encourage you stick with this movie and let it develop, because it really just keeps getting better as is it builds steam with the odd turns in the plot. Jaime King is very appealing as the distressed damsel, kind of like a taller version of Reese Witherspoon, and she has us on her side immediately. Every scene had its moment where you wondered what was gonna happen next. The plot is tight and cohesive, and the script and dialog are never an embarrassment to anybody involved. You can definitely see a bit of the Coen brothers or Spike Lee in this, although the violence is toned down—more suggestive than in your face.
It's well-written, competently acted, good story, funny, what's not to like? They are good together for the most part. Of course, Karl is actually cheating on April with Nola Missi Pyle who turns out to be April's sister. She and costar Josh Cooke work very well together and we can feel their erotic chemistry slowly catalyze. What is wrong with our world? Plötzlich hört er Schüsse aus dem Haus und sieht wie eine Frau einen leblosen Körper in dem Kofferraum ihres Autos versteckt. I recommend it to those who like dark comedy with a hint of romance.
I grew up watching re-runs of I Love Lucy, so I'm a big fan of physical comedy, which just isn't used as often anymore, particularly with female characters for some reason. Jaime King is a pretty good comedic actress and Josh Cooke isn't that bad. A very cool movie - with an ending that fit right in. Things keep getting more complicated when April's husband Karl Rogers Silas Weir Mitchell goes home and mistakenly assumes that April is having an affair with Martin. The movie needs to calm down the wacky comedy music. Definitely something I'd watch again and again, because it's that enjoyable.
If you see it at NetFlix, it is worth watching. I love the scenery in that part of Montana- gateway to north part of Yellowstone. Not for me, although the wacky events that cause leads Josh Cooke and Jamie King to stomp around with their arms in the air in total frustration might make them appear, to some folks, to be performing over the top. But what happens in-between is a classic situation comedy romp. It's basically a time waster for the afternoon as your looking to lay on the couch. Most straight-up comedies non rom-coms don't do that.
The opening of the movie has such great physical comedy, I was laughing out loud. He convinces her that he is not there to harm her but has witnessed the murder so they must cooperate or both go to prison. The true scene stealer is the cinematography and scenery of the openness of Montana. We were laughing through the entire length of the movie. Will Carson Josh Cooke is a convict who escapes after a car crash.
