You feel for some of the siblings, not so much others, and get the feel for the layout of the estate and different possibilities. Not all of the Kuonji siblings share Stella's disgust of the game, with brother Sid being the major enthusiast. Her best friend Malory wants to put together a costume themed party in the style of Alice in Wonderland. The plot was beyond stupid. To make things even more ridiculous there are no boys allowed and no cellphones. Story picks up and becomes increasingly interesting. Like another perennial favorite, , Alice in Wonderland is the story of a girl who thinks she wants to go somewhere exciting, but, once she gets there, spends the entire time trying to find her way home.
I can't tell you how much I used to wish that I'd sudde. Protagonist was about as bland as you could make a character. I haven't laughed this hard at a movie in years. Somebody needs a math lesson, but the greatest part is that it has all the worste parts of the genre, junky place, college girls, 21st birthday, pranks gone wrong but totally misses the mark. The translation, however, reads very smoothly, and one Japanese wordplay has been very nicely reworked to the point where you wouldn't even notice were it not pointed out in the end notes.
The acting was beyond terrible. I willing to bet that, on paper, this looked like a really good idea. The writing for Alice in Murderland makes no sense. In short, go watch it. The price is high, but the story is grimly fascinating, steeped in Kaori Yuki's favorite brand of dark madness.
Everything about this movie is one big black hole of wasted opportunity to do something awesome. Wonderland may be different and exciting, but its inhabitants are often rude and unfriendly, even hostile. The girls set a rule that no cell phones and no boys will be allowed. While this first volume is pretty much the most Kaori Yuki Kaori Yuki series ever, it is also clear that she has done her research and understands the original novel's history, which gives us some tantalizing hints as to what she's going to do with the story even while she's making it darkly violent. With a title like Alice in Murderland, I was expecting some great gore or clever kills but the picture lacked violence or any real creativity. I probably wouldn't rent if it wasn't part of Prime but don't regret the viewing, production was better than other B lists think the budget was just non existent.
Only problem is, a maniac in a Jabberwocky mask is offing everybody. The enchanted flowers throw Alice out of the garden, thinking she's a weed. The sense of humor that a piece like this needs was missing, and it really could have used a director, because I saw no sign of one. But the same brand new washer and dryer are still intact and in the same place twenty years later Oversights like this get me real cranky. This steamy isekai adventure explores the thrills and perils of becoming a sugar baby to the queen in another world.
It was muffled and low. No one is the Jabberwocky…so we think. Overall, Alice in Murderland is a comical movie filled with panties, terrible acting, and cheesy murders. But she's quickly finding out that one line from Lewis Carroll is true — they're all mad here. Skipped through it because it was such garbage.

That a man has to come to Stella and show her the way to independence makes a persuasive argument for this being an example of the , although the desire to murder her mother to please her father touches upon some of the more famous complexes named after ancient Greek plays Oedipal, Elektra.
